Santiago de Compostela - Rorschach Switzerland to Finisterre Spain
Best of luck Guy. I wish you the most wonderful journey and am eager to have share your perspectives and stories.
You are so right: the hardest part is mental! You have prepared yourself in any way possible. Now it is time to enjoy. I wish you all the luck and happiness on this journey. I'm following!
Hi Guy, May God be with you as you embark on your pilgrimage. If there is anything that you need on your journey, ask and you shall receive.God bless and happy travels.Greg A.
As you are a retired almost Actuary, I am not surprised that you have lost your math skills so quickly ... or perhaps it was the hair cut (much like Samson). Hopefully, if your hair grows out as planned, you will get back your normal math skills.Greg A.
Thanks all for the good vibes...and Greg yes that was a test to see if you are still as sharp as you think you are. In Montreal airport eyeing some Swiss chocolate...should be as good here as in Switzerland...or at least if I have some now I will have be able to compare.Guy
I thought it was a test ... even though I am on vacation I am still as sharp as I think I am ... maybe even sharper! It is good to see you considering Swiss Chocolate. I think it will be a suitable replacement for my suggested Snicker bars. Try some Toblerone Chocolate, especially the kind with almonds.BTW, when you are in Switzerland find out how they got the chocolate recipe from the Mayans.
Well Guy. Have a wonderful walk and remember to stop and smell the roses along the way. It is all about the experience of the journey. I will be watching for posts from you along the way. I do agree with Greg though...your ability to add seems to have left you at retirement ;-) PS. Love the haircut. It will be interesting to see a post-Camino comparison picture to see how close your projection on hair growth is. Ciao!
Good luck Guy! After reading your last post about packing, you have me wondering...Did you weigh your lucky stone? I hope you didn't trade it in for a lighter, but slightly less lucky, one!Scott
Scott...I did weigh my lucky rock and it weighed nothing! All the theory goes to the test and likely out the window very shortly.Guy
